- Director of Marketing & Brand
Description
Kimball’s Jewelers is seeking an experienced, creative, and commercially minded Director of Marketing & Brand to own and lead the marketing strategy for one of East Tennessee’s most established independent luxury jewelers.
For more than 160 years, Kimball’s has built its reputation around exceptional jewelry, personal relationships, extraordinary service, and being part of our clients’ most important moments. We are looking for a marketing leader who can honor that history while helping shape the next chapter of the Kimball’s brand.
This is much more than a social media position.
Working directly with ownership and senior leadership, the Director of Marketing & Brand will have broad responsibility for the company's marketing strategy, brand development, client acquisition and retention, digital marketing, e-commerce, CRM/client engagement, events, content, advertising, public relations, community partnerships, and luxury designer/vendor collaborations.
This is an opportunity for the right person to have a meaningful voice in the direction of an established luxury brand while building a sophisticated, measurable marketing program designed for its future.
What You’ll Do
- Own and lead an integrated annual marketing strategy, calendar, and budget.
- Strengthen, protect, and evolve the Kimball’s brand across every customer touchpoint.
- Develop strategies to attract qualified new clients while deepening relationships with existing clients.
- Lead digital marketing, including paid media, email, SMS, social media, website marketing, and e-commerce initiatives.
- Develop compelling storytelling around jewelry, designers, clients, occasions, craftsmanship, and the Kimball’s experience.
- Create and execute luxury client events, designer events, trunk shows, bridal initiatives, holiday campaigns, and other memorable brand experiences.
- Partner closely with the sales team to translate marketing initiatives into client conversations, appointments, store traffic, and sales opportunities.
- Use CRM and customer data to improve segmentation, personalization, client engagement, and retention.
- Build strategic partnerships with designers, vendors, community organizations, media, creators, and complementary luxury businesses.
- Lead and develop internal marketing team members while effectively managing agencies, photographers, creators, media partners, and other outside resources.
- Manage the marketing budget and establish meaningful measures of performance across campaigns and channels.
- Continually identify new opportunities to grow Kimball’s client base, market presence, e-commerce business, and long-term revenue.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is an experienced marketing leader who combines exceptional creative instincts with strong commercial judgment.
Experience in luxury retail, fine jewelry, fashion, hospitality, beauty, premium consumer brands, or another high-touch customer environment is strongly preferred.
You should be comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and hands-on execution—developing a long-term brand strategy, reviewing campaign performance, planning an important client event, collaborating with sales professionals, directing creative work, and identifying the next opportunity for growth.
Strong experience with several of the following is highly desirable: brand strategy, digital marketing, CRM, email/SMS, paid media, e-commerce, social media, experiential marketing, events, public relations, analytics, budget management, and team leadership.
We are particularly interested in someone who is curious, entrepreneurial, highly organized, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact rather than simply maintain an existing marketing program.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who understands that luxury marketing is ultimately about relationships, storytelling, experience, trust, and creating reasons for clients to return again and again.
The Opportunity
For the right marketing leader, this is an opportunity to do more than manage campaigns.
You will work closely with ownership, have visibility across the business, and have the opportunity to influence how a respected 160+ year-old independent company evolves for its next generation of clients.
Kimball’s offers the heritage and established clientele of a longstanding luxury business with the entrepreneurial environment of an independent company—allowing great ideas to move from concept to execution without layers of corporate bureaucracy.
This is primarily an in-person leadership position in Knoxville, Tennessee, with occasional evening/weekend events and business travel.
If you are an experienced marketer who loves building brands, creating memorable experiences, understanding customers, and turning great marketing into meaningful business growth, we would love to meet you.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional marketing experience, including responsibility beyond social media or content creation alone.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, including paid digital advertising, social media, email marketing, website marketing, and digital analytics.
- Experience developing and managing marketing calendars, campaigns, budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and performance metrics to evaluate marketing effectiveness and make informed recommendations.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and brand consistency.
- Experience collaborating with sales, leadership, operations, creative teams, agencies, vendors, or other cross-functional partners.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong creative judgment and the ability to recognize and maintain an elevated, sophisticated brand aesthetic.
- Demonstrated ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong organizational, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work primarily on-site in Knoxville, Tennessee, with availability for occasional evening/weekend events and business travel.
