Overview
Shaw Diamonds and Design is seeking a motivated, part-time Sales Associate to focus exclusively on new business development and outside sales. This role is distinct from our existing client retention efforts, which are compensated under a separate 3% commission structure. The primary objective of this role is to generate $12,500 in new monthly revenue by engaging new clients, building relationships, and promoting Shaw Diamonds and Design’s custom fine jewelry offerings. The Sales Associate will have access to a dedicated private office within the Shaw Diamonds and Design showroom.
Position Details
Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours per week
Compensation: $16/hour base pay
Location: On-site - Dallas, Texas
Reports To: Owner or Sales Manager
Commission Structure (New Sales Only):
15% commission on the first $5,000 in new monthly sales
12% commission on $5,001–$10,000
10% commission on new sales exceeding $10,000
Primary Responsibilities
Generate new business through outbound outreach, networking, and lead generation
Identify and cultivate relationships with new clients, including bridal, custom jewelry, and luxury clientele
Conduct in-person and virtual consultations to convert prospects into clients
Maintain a detailed sales pipeline and provide regular progress updates
Represent Shaw Diamonds and Design at events, trunk shows, and local networking opportunities
Collaborate with the in-house team to ensure a seamless, high-touch client experience
Meet or exceed the monthly revenue target of $12,500 in new sales
Manage all repair clients and small custom projects, compensated at the existing 3% commission rate for work tied to existing clients
Log all client communication (new and existing) accurately in the CRM system (Nutshell)
Qualifications
Local to the Dallas, TX area and able to work on-site (this is not a remote position)
Fine jewelry education or extensive hands-on knowledge
Ability to manage jewelry repair project pipelines with minimal training
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident, self-motivated, and goal-driven
Familiarity with CRM systems (experience with Nutshell is a plus)
Proven ability to manage leads, follow up consistently, and close high-ticket sales
Prior success in luxury sales, fine jewelry, or high-end retail strongly preferred

Important Note
This position is separate from Shaw Diamonds and Design’s existing 3% client retention commission structure. The Sales Associate will be responsible for new business development only and will earn commission solely on new client sales, with the exception of repair and small custom work tied to existing clients, which will remain under the 3% structure.
