The Complications Watchmaker plays a pivotal role in supporting Audemars Piguet’s commitment to excellence in after-sales service. This position is responsible for the complete maintenance and repair of highly complex timepieces, ensuring the highest standards of precision, quality, and efficiency. The Complications Watchmaker will handle movements ranging from quartz calibers (R020) to high complication calibers (R110).
By maintaining superior craftsmanship and adhering to company processes, the Complications Watchmaker directly contributes to the strategic objectives of improving delivery lead times, repair quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair & Maintenance
Perform complete maintenance and repair of Audemars Piguet watches, including uncasing, movement intervention, dial and hands fitting, encasing, and quality control.
Work on calibers ranging from R020 to R110, including high complication models (excluding minute repeaters, grande sonneries, and grande complications).
Deliver all work in accordance with Audemars Piguet’s technical and quality standards.
Follow established company and Customer Service (CS) procedures throughout all repair processes.
Continuous Improvement
Actively contribute to the SPIRALE Project, collaborating on initiatives to enhance workshop operations, workflow efficiency, and repair quality.
Provide constructive feedback on technical processes, tools, and methods to support ongoing improvement efforts.
Workshop Standards & Tools
Ensure the correct use, handling, and maintenance of all watchmaking tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in line with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of professional watchmaking experience, including extensive experience with complex mechanical movements.
Watchmaker with WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI 21 or similar certification required.
Proven ability to service high complications, such as perpetual calendars, tourbillons, and chronographs.
Strong commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented workshop environment.
Exceptional technical skill and dexterity in fine watchmaking.
