Watchmaker Apprentice / Non-CW21 Watchmaker
Location: Houston, Texas
Schedule: 4 days per week, 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
We are seeking an Apprentice or Non-CW21 Watchmaker who is interested in developing their skills and building a career in watchmaking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in horology who is eager to learn and grow in a hands-on repair environment.

The selected candidate will receive on-the-job training and, if qualified, may be eligible for paid training through AWCI (American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute).

Responsibilities
The watchmaker will be responsible for performing a variety of watch repair and servicing duties, including:

• Disassembling and assembling mechanical and quartz watche
• Performing watch repairs and servicing
• Polishing and refinishing watch components
• Waterproofing and pressure testing watches
• Inspecting watches and identifying repair or service requirements
• Performing other in-house watch repair services as needed
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work area
• Following established repair and quality-control procedures
• Continuously developing technical watchmaking skills through hands-on training

Note: All repairs are performed in-house except dial refinishing. Qualified employees will be expected to perform the other repair services required by the business.

Qualifications

• Previous watchmaking experience is preferred but not required
• Apprentice or Non-CW21 watchmakers are encouraged to apply
• Strong interest in watchmaking and horology
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Ability to work carefully with small components and delicate equipment
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, motivated, and committed to quality workmanship
