POSITION SUMMARY
A well-established and rapidly growing fine jewelry destination is expanding its in-house workshop and seeking a Senior Bench Jeweler to join the team full-time. With a brand-new, state-of-the-art goldsmithing studio (fully equipped with the latest tools, technology, and a six-person bench setup) this is a rare opportunity for a master-level craftsperson to thrive in a fast-paced, high-integrity environment.
This role is ideal for an expert jeweler who takes pride in precision stone setting, high-end jewelry repair, and delivering five-star client results. You’ll be an integral part of a thriving retail destination known for quality, trust, and craftsmanship, with ample room for growth and the potential to be highly compensated for exceptional skill and expertise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Jewelry Repair & Craftsmanship
- Execute high-quality repair work including resizing, soldering, stone tightening, prong re-tipping, and polishing
- Perform expert level stone setting for diamonds and colored gemstones across various mountings and custom designs
- Execute complex repairs including resizing, soldering, prong re-tipping, restoration, and high-polish finishing
- Inspect and assess jewelry pieces to recommend best repair and setting solutions
- Ensure all service orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality
- Workshop Operations & Team CollaborationCollaborate with a growing team, including a Master Goldsmith, sales associates, and support staff to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment, supporting a culture of excellence
- Assist in handling a high volume of in-house work while coordinating with outside partners for overflow jobs
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 5+ years of professional bench jeweler experience (fine jewelry retail or workshop setting)
- Expert proficiency in stone setting, soldering, polishing, and complex repair work
- Experience working with gold, platinum, and a range of precious gemstones
- Exceptional attention to detail, steady hand-eye coordination, and advanced technical skill
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
- Location: On-site in Michigan
- Schedule:
- Monday & Thursday: 9 AM – 8 PM
- Tuesday & Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 4 PM
- Closed Wednesdays and Sundays
- Bonus: One late start (1 hour) per week offered to full-time employees
