Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Bench Jeweler to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and experience in all aspects of fine jewelry repair, and finishing. This role requires technical ability, ensuring the highest standards of quality for repair work.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality jewelry repairs, including resizing, soldering, re-tipping, prong work, and stone setting.
Experience with laser welding equipment.
Work with gold, platinum, silver, and other precious.
Set gemstones of various shapes, sizes, and hardness with precision.
Conduct polishing, finishing, and quality inspections to meet brand and client standards.
Collaborate with sales associates to bring custom jewelry repair concepts to life.
Maintain and operate jeweler’s tools and equipment in a safe, organized manner.
Ensure all work is completed within established timelines without compromising quality.
Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and technologies.
Qualifications/Skills:
Professional experience as a bench jeweler.
Experience in stone setting and finishing.
Strong knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret client/sales associate specifications.
Exceptional hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills.
A level of artistry, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to maintain discretion and handle valuable items responsibly.
Prior training  and experience in a workshop setting.
Physical & Work Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand at a bench for extended periods.
Fine manual dexterity for detailed, delicate work.
Comfortable working with torches, polishing wheels, and other jeweler’s equipment.
Adherence to safety and security protocols in handling precious metals and stones.
Preferred (Not Required):
GIA or equivalent certification in gemology or stone setting.
Additional Information:
Experience based pay.
