JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Jewelry Repair: Perform a range of repairs, including but not limited to ring resizing, soldering, prong repairs, and head replacements, with precision and care.
- Material Handling: Work with various precious metals, primarily gold (85-90% of workload), silver, and platinum, to ensure all repair work adheres to the client’s high standards of quality.
- Stone Setting: Skillfully set diamonds and colored gemstones with precision, achieving a flawless finish that exceeds client expectations.
- Custom Work: Contribute to custom jewelry projects, including crafting and assembling new pieces when required. Additionally, utilize downtime to create personal designs or collaborate with other in-store jewelers, fostering creativity and innovation.
- Learning and Growth: Work alongside a Graduate Gemologist in-store, with opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise in identifying diamonds and colored stones.
- Tool Utilization: Leverage traditional bench jeweler techniques and advanced tools such as laser welders (in-house equipment available).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to provide accurate repair timelines, cost estimates, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally engage with clients to advise on repairs, customizations, and services, fostering a welcoming and trusted environment.
- Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workbench while adhering to company safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on bench jeweler experience focusing on jewelry repairs.
- Proficient in ring resizing, soldering, and polishing.
- Expertise in working with gold, silver, and platinum.
- Diamond and colored gemstone setting skills are a plus, though not mandatory.
- Familiarity with laser welders is a plus, though not mandatory.

COMPENSATION
Hourly (Non-exempt): $19.23 - $28.84 per hour ($40,000 - $60,000 annually), commensurate with experience and skill level.
The client is also open to more senior-level candidates, with pay rates to be discussed. A salaried role option is available based on qualifications and experience.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekends
